360Magazine

Welcome to the first edition of 360Magazine/Venice!
First a small warning. We are doing a major update of our website. Everything is being changed and all old content with 360-images is removed to make room for all new content based on our new design format 360Show. All our new productions will use this format as it is optimized for all major web browsers, including iPhone/iPad and Android devices. It also looks a lot nicer...
We are currently producing in 12 cities all over the world for our 360CityGuide and 360GolfGuide projects and we want to give you a taste of what it will look like. As all image content will be produced from scratch it will take some time until full functionality is reached.
Both websites will use the same web design platforms and the new 360Show format. Please look at the 360Show productions from our featured hotels and you will quickly get an idea of how a highlighted Golf Course will look in the same format.
We know that many hotels have very close partnerships with Golf Clubs and now it is possible to virtually visit and inspect the different partners on the same design platform. They often have special deals and promotion packages and we will try to highlight these partnerships with our 360-images.
Today we will only load 3 properties, Conrad Maldives, Hilton Venice and Hilton Madrid to show you what to expect when each destination is fully loaded with our 360-images. Today the category list with hotels, restaurants, bars & clubs and museums is disabled until enough highlighted partners are selected and produced.
On the 360CityGuide website golf courses will be featured under "Charter & Adventure".
The Golf Clubs on the list today is nominated to be produced during 2013/2014 but the list is preliminary until further notice. As soon as the selection process is final and the production done we will publish our final selection of the best Golf Courses in the Dubai region.
Our selection is based on fine design, unique architecture and exciting locations. The actual feeling playing on the courses is of course something else and difficult for us to judge...
Please enjoy, and send us your feedback...

Venice is not a very well known golf destination. It is however a delightful place to visit and one of the most unique cities in the world.
If you love golf and stay in Venice you will be happy to know that there are plenty of golf courses in the region and we will help you to find the very best.
The Circolo Golf Venezia Lido is the only golf course in city of Venice, on the Lido island. The club opened in 1928 with a 9-hole course, designed by the Scottish Architect Cruickshank. Another 9 holes were added in after the Second World War with design by C.K. Cotton.
Legend says that it actually was Henry Ford that initiated the idea of a golf course in Venice. He discussed this idea with his friend Count Giuseppe Volpi di Misurata, who was President of C.I.G.A., the Italian Company of Grand Hotels, and managed to find suitable land on Lido for the construction of a golf course.
Count Volpi is also known for creating the first International Music Festival in the World, as well as the first International Film Festival and Theatre Festival, all in the 1930´s.
The Golf Club Trieste was the first golf club to open in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and was formally constituted in 1954, with play beginning in 1955. The 18-hole course has a splendid location at an altitude of 350 metres offering a magnificent view over the Gulf of Trieste.
The Golf & Country Club Tarvisio is a 2 hour drive away from Venice. It is situated in the Alps, at the borders between Austria, Slovenia and Italy, at an altitude of 750 meters. This is relatively low altitude and allows for play from April to October.
The club was founded 1992 and the first 9-hole course was designed by Giacomo Cabrini, the course was later redesigned and extended by the Canadian designer Graham Cooke. This is golf at a very unique location and offers a truly unforgettable experience.
The Golf Club Lignano is 90 minutes drive from Venice. It is located one kilometre from the Lignano Pineta beach and only 5 minutes away from the Bibione Therame spa. The 18 holes course was founded 1991 and designed by architect Marco Croze.
The Golf Club Udine opened in 1972 and the 18-hole course is designed by John Harris and Marco Croze. It is a 1 ½ hour drive from Venice but the scenery is beautiful and well worth a trip.
The Golf Club Montecchia is located in the estate of Conti Emo Capodilista with an old castle and elegant villa. The club has 2 courses, 27 holes designed by Tom Macauley.
Golf Club Montecchia was founded in 1988 and its Championship course has hosted the Challenge Tour in 2001 and 2002 and the Alps Tour in 2010. A complete renovation and conversion of the fairways to Bermuda grass have recently ensured good course conditions all year round.
The clubhouse once served as a tobacco drying room in the Count Emo Capodilista's estate.
This course is 1 ½ hour drive minutes away from Venice, in a very scenic region. 2 other clubs are in the same region, the Padova Golf Club and the Frassanelle Golf Club.
The Golf Club Padova is a rare example of symbiosis between a private club and a resort open to the guests. The 18-holes course was designed by John Harris in 1962 and a 9-hole course was developed in 2003.
The Clubhouse from 1964 was designed by Bonoldi and has been refurbished over the years with a wonderful summer swimming pool, a well equipped gym, a sauna and a billiards room. The restaurant is well known in the region and attracts golfers and tourists as well as local guests.
The Golf Club Frassanelle opened in 1990 and is located inside the nineteenth century park Villa Papafava, covering more than two hundred hectares of lakes and clearings. The 18 holes course was designed by Marco Croze.
The Club House is based on a restructured beautiful old country house and has a bar, a restaurant, a sauna and a massage parlour. The club is open all year round.
